Acceptance of MapRAYS.

Bor Soft have obtained acceptance for GIS-based software MapRAYS from TPAO (Turkish Petroleum Cooperation). TPAO is a national oil company involved in merely upstream (exploration, drilling, well completion and production) sector. MapRAYS performs heavy GIS processes to be used by TPAO.

Bor Soft receives KOSGEB technology support.

KOSGEB Technology R&D support is given to newly founded, technologically promising companies to assist them during the product development phase. The support encompasses many fields from staff support to equipment support. The support includes a designated office and in concordance with this, Bor moved its headquarters from Kizilay to Hacettepe, Teknokent, KOSGEB Tekmer Building. This support has been given for development of the CartRoute project, a high-end solution utilizing rf/id and routing technologies to provide new guiding and advertising systems.

First meeting of Bor Software LLC.

Bor founding partners Ozer Aydemir, Ali Bugdayci, Kamer Kaya, Oguz Kurt and Ata Turk met at a cafe in Bahcelievler Ankara and decided to establish a mobile software development company. "Ozer wanted to be his own boss, Ali was planning to move to another town to establish his own company, Kamer was asking for a challenge, any challenge that would entertain him, Oguz was bored from his job, looking for a change and I guess I was just tagging along with old good friends. Ozer had a nice vision of software development's future in Turkey, we were a briliant, underutilized bunch of software engineers and scientists, we were five schoolmates hanging together, we were like kids playing a game. So it took up from there..." describes Ata the very first days of Bor.
